Vanderbilt wins 2019 College World Series title in three games over Michigan

OMAHA, Neb. — Vanderbilt is 2019 College World Series winner after beating Michigan 8-2 at Game 3 of this last series.
Vanderbilt is the college in five years after dropping Game 1 of the CWS finals, to clinch the title. Mason Hickman made the win allowing only one first-inning operate in six strong frames. He allowed only four hits and struck out 10.

After losing 7-4 to Michigan in Game 1 on Monday, Vanderbilt defeated Michigan 4-1 on Tuesday to the last series at a game apiece. Kumar Rocker struck out 11 and allowed only three hits in 6.1 innings to earn his second win of the College World Series.
This is Vanderbilt’s second College World Series title in four appearances from Omaha. The Commodores also won the national title in 2014.
