They have a 2.5-game cause the NL Central, that may quickly become a 2.5-game deficit if they don’t see.
Despite trailing the Cardinals going into Saturday the Cubs are well and alive in the NL Central race. Milwaukee was able to assist the Cardinals out Friday night at Miller Park. With an opportunity to get closer to the Cards, the Cubs were belted by the Brewers by a score of 7-1.
This was a missed opportunity because you to the Cubs. Every game in this point gets put under a magnifying glass. Wins and losses become much more important in the final few months of the regular period. That is true tenfold for groups at a postseason race.
