Vuelta a Espana: Sam Bennett wins stage 14 in Oviedo

The Sam Bennett of ireland maintained his second point win on stage 14 in Oviedo for this year’s Vuelta a Espana.
The Bora-Hansgrohe rider crossed ahead of Max Richeze of Argentina with Belgian Tosh van der Sande in the third .
The finish has been dominated by a crash at the last kilometre which prevented a mass rush and took out many in the peloton.
Hurry leader Primoz Roglic of Slovenia endured in the crash but did not lose any moment.
The point was likely to be quieter day following two tough weeks in the saddle and mountain stages to return on Sunday and Monday.
Entering the final kilometre riders were sent tumbling on an incline, although it had been gearing up for a bunch complete.
Bennett was already ahead of that, and appreciated a comfortable success than he could have imagined because he uttered Richeze along with Van der Sande at the 500m.
After winning his fifth in a Grand Tour, and point three years on 26 August after three it was his La Vuelta stage success.
The 28-year-old is having an exceptional year with this his achievement.
“I’m just thrilled,” Bennett told Eurosport. “I’ve reached my goal for the season, but there are just another one or 2 more wins .”
