Frank Lampard heaped Compliments on Tammy Abraham in Wolves from the Premier League after his hat-trick at a win for Chelsea.
When taking over as boss as he was faced with a move ban lampard has integrated youth players, and they have repaid his faith.
Abraham scored a at Molineux – with scored in all his previous two league games – together with Fikayo Tomori along with Mason Mount.
And Lampard was thrilled by their efforts, telling Sky Sports:”I am thrilled to see [youngsters taking their chances] because it is not easy.
“Tammy is [looking the role ] and that is function, having gone out on loan and scoring a lot of goals from the Championship, having annually in the Premier League and today I believe he believes the responsibility of the Chelsea shirt because he should. The last 3 games speak for themselves.
“The only real challenge for Tammy today is can he keep doing it? Can he become better and better since the way he’s playing, he’s a huge danger for all of us up front and there’s competition within from [Olivier] Giroud and [Michy] Batshuayi so he needs to keep it at the level and get much better.
“Tomori had a terrific season in the Championship this past year but that is a step up and he’s absolutely taken to it and got an unbelievable goal now, which is going to be a enormous memory for him going forward. It’s time, the youngsters deserved their chances and they have to keep advancing.”
The praise kept coming for Abraham on Soccer Saturday, using Phil Thompson appreciating his evolution at Chelsea.
“He had been very, very great. His job is to score goals, but he also got involved in the remaining part of the match,” he explained.
“He got three goals, an own goal and cramp, so it had been quite an afternoon for him! He directed the line and was totally fantastic. And he is just getting better and better.”
Wolves will go on the back of the Chelsea defeat that is significant into it, without the wins and begin their Europa League effort on Thursday.
Understandably, manager Nuno Espirito Santo was not pleased with his side’s screen, telling Sky Sports:”It was a lousy performance. We started the game well, creating and pressing minutes. The match changed with a goal, everything becomes and the staff lost a bit of concentration.
“Today we were defeated, Chelsea were much better than people and we must recognise that, congratulate Chelsea and move forward. Bad matches could occur, but the most important thing is that we cannot replicate them. We have to react and become better.”
