Rays vs. Dodgers MLB Pick – September 17th

The Tampa Bay Rays are on the west coast for a Short two-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

So they did not have to journey far to reach Dodger Stadium they had been in Anaheim last weekend. At Arlington to get a three-game series against the Rangers, the Rays have been prior to Anaheim.
This is the third and final stop of their road trip. They go back home to play the Yankees and Red Sox, even though they will return home, it is not like they have some car wins. The Rays would probably be in Toronto to confront, to wrap up the season.
It is an important couple of weeks for the Rays. They did their job against the Angels to go into the week with a 1.5-game lead on the Indians. The Rays were less successful against the Rangers. I would not necessarily say that this is an easy stretch for the Rays.
Their real home games left on the schedule are against Yankees and the Red Sox. The Red Sox will probably play for nothing and aren’t going to the postseason. That isn’t to say the Red Sox can’t be a group and overcome against the Rays. They’re more than capable of playing a good series. If they care to will be the matter.
The Dodgers would be the first team to clinch their division. They will be playing since their NL West’s winners in October. There is still a small company to be deal with to the Dodgers. The Dodgers can clinch homefield advantage throughout the postseason, such as the World Series.
The Braves are still hanging around in the National League, so it’s not from the question the Dodgers are caught by them. Not easy but not hopeless. Their concerns would be Yankees and the Astros for homefield at the World Series. Head below for our free Rays vs. Dodgers select.

The Rays are currently looking to maintain his composure tonight. He has not looked anything like the Cy Young winner in last year. It was only last year that he won the award for the best pitcher in the American League, although it feels like an eternity past that Snell won the Cy Young.
Awards do not matter. What is significant is currently sustaining that victory over several seasons. Like say Kershaw or Scherzer, consistency is important. Snell has gone out of a 1.89 ERA into a 4.28 ERA this season. This was his third season in the majors, so it was tough to say whether this campaign was to get real.
In any case, Snell could be much better than what we have seen this season. He’s been exhibiting signs of getting it together, though. Snell has recently posted an ERA of 1.12 and 1.06 WHIP. There’s a disclaimer with that attempt, although that looks excellent. He has performed well at home in 2019.
The Trop has not been the problem for Snell, in which he has posted an ERA of 2.82 and 1.05 WHIP. All would be well for Snell, if that were his numbers. That’s not the case, however, since Snell has fought on the street with a 5.98 ERA along with 1.48 WHIP. Despite his success lately, the majority of those starts have come at home.
Be aware that two or runs have been enabled by Snell in all his past four outings. However, keep in mind that three of those games have been at home. This one outing was against the Yankees on the road. However, I’m going to stay with the larger sample size and not get swayed by one successful start by Snell in a different ballpark. Leading up to this match, Snell had allowed 13 earned runs in 3.2 innings around two excursions.
Ross Stripling was on fire contrary to the Rays in his profession. The Rays are hitting on just .182 with no runs scored in 22 at-bats against Stripling. Stripling was sharp with a 2.45 ERA and also 0.73 WHIP in his past three competitions. The Rays want but it does not necessarily equate into a success. Start Looking for the Dodgers to edge out the Rays .
