Mick McCarthy to rotate Republic of Ireland team for Bulgaria friendly

Mick McCarthy has revealed he’ll make modifications for the Republic of Ireland’s friendly against Bulgaria live on Sky Sports.
The Republic encounter this game on the rear of a Euro 2020 qualifier on Thursday, they drew.
McCarthy is now prepared omit some of the players who featured in that game and to twist his squad.
“You will see some adjustments,” he said. “It is an opportunity to view [the squad players] play.
“It’s an opportunity for people who have travelled round Gibraltar and Denmark and encouraged the lads to have a game.
“Everybody plays, we want to win the match.
“When I make three substitutions, six substitutions – does it weaken the group, strengthen the team?
“Players who haven’t been enjoying with, should they get the opportunity to playwill be busting a gut to perform in their high level and as well as they possibly can.”
The 60-year-old said both Scott Hogan and James Collins will play a role in the game if they will start without showing, and there may be a potential return for Matt Doherty if he can overcome an injury.
McCarthy stated:”James and Scott will play.
“I’d love to find a performance from them that disturbs me considering I may need to play them for the next game.
“Or that everybody else sees and they believe that they could play , if so-and-so’s not doing the company, then at least we’ve got other players who could come in and do a job also, or even better.”
As well as rotating the XI for this favorable, McCarthy has also disclosed his plans to incorporate some of the Republic of Ireland U21 players at squads – .
The kids, who are currently top of the team that is European, beat 1-0 on Friday, with Sweden their next opponents on Tuesday.
McCarthy has highlighted a couple players that stood out to get him.
He explained :”I was extremely impressed. Surely by (Aaron) Connolly, I thought he was the choice of the bunch. (Jayson) Molumby too. Both may perform, both can pass on the ball.
“I hope they get playing for their own teams. I hope when they do start playing they give me that difficulty and that dilemma.
“When I was to play with them and they weren’t to perform well, that question could be asked of me. I trust , Terry (Connor) and Robbie (Keane). We all know the best gamers, we all know who should be enjoying.”
