Main Event: Jon Jones (-285) vs. Alexander Gustafsson (+225)
The final time Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson confronted, roughly a year-and-a-half ago, it was the former that emerged with the win. Though many believed Gustafsson could have had himthe judges awarded Jones a unanimous victory.
The chances last time around, however, were even more in favor of Jones, with Gustafsson laying anywhere between +800 and +1000 lines. That they’re so close now speaks to how well he cried in the very first assembly, while also nodding towards how much he’s improved his fast-twitch stamina.
Nevertheless, Jones, who has not fought in 17 months, has largely dominated everyone he has come across from the Octagon. This fight should take more gas than he’s used to using up, but he must pull it out and win the light heavyweight belt.
