The Houston Astros are great at baseball. So good, it appears one bettor in New Jersey would like to wager over $5 million they will win Major League Baseball’s World Series.
According to a report registered at the New Jersey Department of Gambling Enforcement site, a petition was filed related to the sports betting license run by the Meadowlands Racetrack.
We do understand that somebody asked the cap of $ 5 million be waived for a minumum of one bet, although we understand little about what is currently going down. Here’s the name of the petition made to the DGE:
That means someone wants to wager MORE than $5 million.
The only hint is that the Astros are cited in conjunction. It seems sensible that the bet is likely on the Astros to win the World Series. It’s at least possible it’d be a wager to win the American League pennant.
If the waiver was granted, it’s not yet known.
There are three choices available on who may be reserving this, and just two are NJ sportsbook programs:
All three run under the permit under which the waiver was registered. PlayNJ has achieved to the DGE, PointsBet and FanDuel to try if the waiver was granted to verify.
If the wager is about the Astros to win the World Series, they are +220 at FanDuel and +200 at PointsBet.
Regulations in the country say as that is, that wagers can not be in excess of 5 million of a few:
Can the bettor in question need to be happy with just only $ 5 million in action? We are going to have to wait to discover.
