Heavyweight Dereck Chisora threatened to pull out of the struggle of next month with Joseph Parker during an outstanding news conference in London on Monday.
Since he wanted money chisora, 35, made an expletive-filled rant.
The fight on 26 October in the O2 Arena of London is that the chief support to the world title bout between Regis Prograis along with super-lightweights Josh Taylor, at the final of the World Boxing Super Series.
“Give me primary event or pull out of the series,” said an angry Chisora.
“I’m not going to sell out the O2 for them men to be the major event. I am being serious, you need me to sell the London crowd, my fans it place these little guys that nobody understands about on my display and mug me off.
“I’m taking the most important stage, if not I want more cash.”
With the headline contest being involving the Taylor and American Prograis of Scotland Ahead of Luke Campbell at the O2 and the current world title bout between Vasyl Lomachenko, promoter Eddie Hearn announced the occasion October.
Both men are unbeaten holding the IBF world name and Prograis that the WBA and WBC belts in a fight which also functions as the World Boxing Super Series’ closing – an yearlong championship.
The first news conference to promote the show was held in the Park Plaza London Riverbank resort with Chisora and his promoter David Haye sitting on the top table alongside Sky Sports’ mind of boxing Adam Smith, promoters Hearn and Kalle Sauerland as well as Taylor and Prograis and their trainers.
Twenty minutes into the press conference, Hearn asked Chisora his thoughts on the fight and the Londoner asked”who’s the main event of the fight?”
Hearn replied by stating”the gentleman sitting next to you” (significance Prograis) and Chisora said:”That’s not going to work for me”
At one point, Prograis himself chased Chisora by stating that he and Taylor were the best two boxers in the super-lightweight branch and Chisora responded:”Don’t get me started.
“No-one cares about you,” he further added. “I’m tired of selling displays and not making money so offer me some of this money you are making. Boxing is flourishing with all the heavyweights, the guys in the top 10.
“Let them box in Glasgow and they could sell it out there.”
