Jon Rahm, Tommy Fleetwood start strongly in European Tour finale

After creating a bogey-free return to action at the DP World Tour Championship jon Rahm reaped the rewards of a six-week break from golf.
The Spaniard, one of five players going into the season finale with a prospect of winning the Hurry Dubai, posted six birdies in an opening-round 66 in Jumeriah Golf Estates.
Rahm – third in the season-long standings – stays under and over using the entire world No 5 feeling the benefits from his time off along three shots of early pacesetter Mike Lorenzo-Vera.
Really good, though I tried my very best to mess it up on the last hole, Rahm told Sky Sports. Out of those six months, the majority of the initial five were not touching a club.
Pleased with how I am performing. I might tell how rested I was emotionally because on a few holes — I never lost patience, I stayed with this positive attitude and never got down . I am hoping I can keep playing and keep it for the next 3 days.
Plenty of people are playing great. Its going to be an exciting week, so I can keep playing good and provide Rory [McIlroy] and Mike [Lorenzo-Vera] a run for their money.
Closest challenger to Dubai to Bernd Wiesberger in the Rush standings, fleetwood, accompanied his victory at last weeks Nedbank Golf Challenge into a 67.
You can only put yourself from it on day one, Fleetwood said. Theres a lot more to do, theres 54 holes today. There are players around and all I can do is do my own stuff.
I have three days of work left, actually, until the close of the year. Just need to take advantage of them, remain very present, continue my best to each golf shot and determine how we could get on.
Wiesberger dropped off proposed top spot in register to an opening-round 70 and the rankings after enjoying his first 10 holes in one over, simply to birdie three of the final eight.
You go out there and it seems just a tiny bit like a Sunday for some reason, but it is only the very first day, Wiesberger explained. Its still a long week beforehand but it certainly feels in the event that you go on the market, No. 1 and 2, it seems as if you are in a Sunday shootout at a way, but it is not.
Theres still 54 holes of us and a lot could happen, so hoping to get the good with the evil and we get a few golf breaks and score low the upcoming few days
